In just a little while I’m getting on a train down to Portsmouth, and I’m very very excited. Possibly not about Portsmouth itself but the freediving course I’m going to attend this weekend!
The course is held in a 30m deep pool that’s usually used for submarine escape training, part of the MOD. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to reach the bottom but I realise that might be a touch optimistic. I have done an introductory course in freediving before but this is a bit deeper. Quite a bit deeper. My realistic target is to hold my breath at least two and a half minutes, hopefully as long as three. And at least reach the 20m mark.
More information about the course and the tank can be found here.
